Dear readers,
As many of you know, we at TAGMO had to make the difficult decision of closing the restaurant part of our business at the end of 2023. It was a wrench for us to pull the plug on the passion project that meant so much – but it is a necessary end to start a new chapter.
Closing TAGMO as a restaurant was a step in the right direction because it helped Chef Surbhi reevaluate:
- What TAGMO’s priorities are,
- The people and community we want to be a part of,
- And the way we want to go about achieving our goals!
By reorienting TAGMO as a business and organization, the team at TAGMO has been able to make intentional changes to better align ourselves with our original vision – to be a community space that focuses on uplifting queer women of color in the restaurant industry. We at TAGMO are so excited to share what we’ve been planning since the start of 2024! Pride Month might be over officially, but that doesn’t change the fact that TAGMO celebrates Pride Every. Single. Day. In the true spirit of Pride, we’re focusing on collaborating with other queer organizations, solidarity with the Palestinian people’s resistance, and community engagement to drive real, tangible, social change. Thank you for supporting our journey to a sweet future!
